As the owner of the award-winning Stowe Meadows Lodge and a Stowe, VT local, I'm often called on to be a "Stowe Guide" of sorts. Nearly every Stowe Meadows guest asks for recommendations on three things:  1) Dining in Stowe, 2) Shopping in Stowe, and 3) Activities in Stowe.

Check out Stowetopia, our Stowe, VT Blog and take a tour around the Stowe area. Along the way you'll discover some of the most unique, locally-owned stores and restaurants in the state of Vermont. These are our favorite stops and nearly all are "buy-local" qualified.  Each of these locally-owned shops and restaurants has a unique warmth and character that are part of what makes Vermont a fabulous year-around vacation destination.

In addition to terrific shops, we'll recommend unique Vermont-made products that you should definitely be on the look-out for.  While the creators of these products may not have their own store-fronts, you'll find their products in stores across the region.  From hand-crafted soaps to gluten-free baked goods, to fabulously fresh garden greens, we'll explore the area together and do some shopping!

Let Stowetopia be your Stowe Guide to terrific Stowe area activities.  No matter the season, we'll not only give you a list of things to do, but we'll tell you about our experiences "on the trail", post our pictures and really give you a feel from a local's perspective.

Our first shopping article will feature The Stowe Craft and Design Gallery, with two fantastic locations right in Stowe Village.  Having a hard time finding just the right gift for the person who has everything?  Stop by the Stowe Craft Gallery (in-person or on-line) and you'll be delighted that you did.
